Market Bosworth is a small town in Leicester that is worth visiting. Like any market town, it is home to a long-time Market Place with numerous stalls selling vegetables, clothing, fruit, fabric, fish, plants, and other products. The market regularly operates every Wednesday.
For visitors who love historic destinations, Market Bosworth's town centre is the first place to start. It has numerous old buildings which surround the market area. Pubs, shops, schools, churches and restaurants are also within the vicinity. Just a few walks from the town centre are the Bosworth Water Park, The Country Park, and Ashby Canal.
The three schools within the town centre are The Market Bosworth School, The Market Bosworth Primary and Junior School, and the Dixie Grammar School. There is an Anglican, Catholic, and Free Church in town, as well as a hotel and fire station. At the corner of the Market Place are two notable cottages namely Rose and Thistle Cottages. The Rose Cottage still remains as a private residence, while the Thistle Cottage has been transformed into the famous Tea Room and Bistro.
For food and drink, you can either go to The Black Horse pub that serves excellent food; Marston's pub for some good Italian pizza; and the Red Lion which is also one of Market Bosworth's oldest buildings.
Like many other tourist destinations in Leicester, a commute to your desired locations and attractions can be challenging. Given the routes and distances of bus and train stations, it will be difficult to just ride and be dropped off at the exact location. Having a chauffeured car in Market Bosworth from the time you touch down at the airport will minimize your worries and hassles regarding this trip.
